I love drawing tigers. This one was sold and and I promised a friend a new one just for her. See, if I can finish it before going on vacation.

This is Midnight in acrylics as well. He is such a nice companion and a lot of fun to paint.

This is Lulu in acrylics. It brings cats, mountains and cherry blossoms together. Four years ago when we first moved to Texas from Japan, we were very homesick. Even now we remember the wonderful people and beautiful places with fondness.

Indian cat (gouache) was inspired by a black and white picture I did when I was in my early teens. Cats have always been my favorite animals.
Raccoon on amate paper. Before moving to the the States I thought that there would be raccoons everywhere. I have only seen a few alive ones in spite of living in California and Texas for well over 10 years. Part of it is that they are nocturnal and that they are considered pests by many.
Maybe if we had lived in the countryside.... To me they are still exotic and fascinating animals.
