March news

"Suzke", pencil portrait, 9x12"

"Tribute to Tracy", watercolor on Arches paper, 22  x 30"

In March I attended the Sister Solidarity art show, sold some cards and enjoyed meeting new people.

In April I am first going to participate in the starving Artists Art show on April 2nd and 3rd in La Villita, San Antonio, TX. I will be in front of the River Art Group in space 25, I hope we will have nice weather and good sales.
Next I will be at the High Wire Art gallery, in San Antonio for a fundraiser for my favorite charity: SARA (Society for Animal Rescue and Adoption) Sanctuary. The fundraiser and Silent Auction will be held on April 8th from 6 to 9pm.

Suzke's portrait was done in pencil in preparation for the watercolor I painted last year.

"Tribute to Tracy"could have been "a Big Happy Family" or "We all live in a Yellow Submarine". It shows a few of the many animals living at SARA as at a forever home or just passing through till they find new homes. Tracy Frank is one of my heroes and meeting her or simply remembering that she and SARA exist always does my heart good. "Tribute to Tracy" was painted for the silent Auction.
